Jeru was new on the scene, and he came out with Come Clean on a whole different page, style, flow, everything. Premo production once again, what else can I say? This album is my shit. That come clean beat is probably the most rapped over beats in history. Mc's had to take a crack at it, it was too crazy. Remember that feeling? It's a shame what this new batch of kids have to rap over to make some noise. "D' Original" "Jungle Music", " Can't Stop the Prophet", "Bitches" , the list goes on. Not one bad song. That sums up a classic. When he came out , he was definitely a new sound, so I clinged onto to this album hard, it was, and still is on heavy rotation for me. This was a great year in hip hop so it had a ton of competition and did more than hold its weight. Crazy jawn on here was "D.Original".. Shit was amazing.
